#LifeOfJosutty above average family entertainer Cliched story line saved by Jeethu Joseph, a simple straightforward family film #Lifeofjosutty(2/5) is overly stretched & lacks d emotional depth.Narrative structure wasn't much impressive and movie seemed 2 be focusless. Story plot Has some similarities too with balachandra menons vivahithare ithile and renjiths kadal kadannoru mattukutty.

Beauty of Kerala in first half and New Zealand in the second half. Cinematography of the movie is excellent. Had a beautiful voyage through the #LifeOfJosutty. On d Negative side its the story (2.5/5) #LifeOfJosutty #LifeOfJosutty is lifelessjosutty, half baked story narration and unimaginative screenplay from spoils the movie big time.įeel good movie.Jeethu did well.Dileep livd as josutty.Outstandin Cinematography. Give me #Drishyam any day. PS - #JeethuJoseph in his interviews had made it clear that #LifeOfJosutty a family story should not be compared to #Drishyam a thriller. New girls Rachana & Jyothi r adequate with Harish standing out. Great Kerala lush green locations in Idukki district looks better than NewZeland countryside, fab camera & very good DI. #Jeethu has tried out an autobiographical story with family sentiments & no twists or turns. Great first half but #JeethuJoseph slips post interval, as the story plods with a contrived feel good climax. #Dileep fantastic as he chronicles life and times of hero. Anil Johnson comes up with a delightful musical score. The film, which also has Jyothi Krishna, Krishna Prabha, Aqsa Bhatt, Suraj Venjarammoodu and Sunil Sukhada in pivotal roles, has been tagged as a feel good film by movie-goers.Ĭheck out the live audience response of "Life of Josutty" below:

Ravichandran's camera captures the stunning spectacles of both Kerala and New Zealand with equal ease. Supporting performances by actors as Hareesh Peradi and Nobi have to be acknowledged. Jyothi Krishna is strictly adequate while Rachana Narayanankutty goes totally over the top with a screeching melodramatic performance. Those snide comments on the sexual minorities, purely intended to rake in some laughter, could have been avoided as well.ĭileep does a neat job of playing Josutty, while of the three women actors, Ranjini Rupesh does a commendable job of playing Priya, who befriends Josutty in New Zealand. The humour goes on a decline, and so does the outcome of the story that is being narrated. Ridden with cliches, the latter half of 'Life of Josutty', flows down the banal stream, without much of an effort. Josutty's mother advises him not to stick out his hands and head out of the air plane, and on landing in New Zealand, Josutty himself expresses astonishment at seeing a woman who has worn shorts! The attempts to make Josutty appear as a simpleton who is a bit too simple, at times backfires on the characterisation itself.
